This project is to be conceived in the form of an illustrated report of about 500 words and should include images, sketches or photographs of your design project.
Use the following headings in your report:
- Introduction - Describe your research processes dealing with movement, mechanics etc with your process diagrams, case studies, and other related images and photographs.
- Translation - Discuss on how you translated your researches into a viable mechane.
- The Machine-Experience - Critique the design and workings of your final proposal. (Substantiate why your proposal is 'interesting')
- Reflections - Using references on HTI lectures and seminars (esp on Prometheus, Daedalus and Vitruvius), reflect upon the resonances of your mechanical innovation with that of ancient innovators or their theories (Hint: Overcoming nature, causing movement)
Place your report in an envelop and write
- the title (HTI Project: The Way Things Go)
- your name,
- student id,
- class,
- date of submission, and
- tutor's name (Put 'Joyce Tan SB')
Deadline: 25 August 2008, SD Office (T251), 11am. Any works received after 11am on the 25th will be treated as a non-submission.
